2025 December Meeting Minutes

Country Star Quilt Guild Meeting Minutes

December 8, 2025

Call to Order

President Lori Frederick called the meeting to order at 6:32 pm.

Welcome

Lori welcomed everyone to our potluck dinner and meeting. Sabrina Faircloth donated pens for each member to pick up at the check in table. Mary Sperow handled the dinner setup and Sara Aicher and Peggy Smith worked hard for several months preparing for tonight’s festivities. Elaine Wilkerson led in the blessing of our food. We all enjoyed a delicious meal. The fried chicken was provided by the Guild with side dishes and desserts being provided by our members.

Program

Lori turned the meeting over to Sara who gave us a breakdown of all the goodies we were gifted on our tables. Peggy Smith made the beautiful angels for each one present. Sara asked that while we were enjoying out dessert to select a top, which will make an excellent fidget for the holidays, along with a mug from the center of your table. Each mug contains a pair of all-purpose scissors that the whole family can use. The thread/needle holders were a group effort with Mary Sperow, Nadine Lloyd and Helen Henderson providing hand sewing help to complete these along with fabric donated by others. The birds are not a sewing tool but a lid holder for hot pan lids when a potholder just gets in the way. Napkins were donated to the guild and Sara advised members to feel free to take some home for your own table if you would like. While those present were making their selections Sara & Peggy passed out the exchange gifts.

Our program for January will feature Carol Blanchard with: Selecting Colors and Patterns that work. Anyone who has a simple color-wheel please bring it to the meeting.  Our startup topic for January will feature any fiber art items, knitting, crocheting, etc.
