2023 May Meeting Minutes
COUNTRY STAR QUILT GUILD
MEETING MINUTES
May 8, 2023
President Smith opened the meeting at 6:57 p.m. She welcomed visitors and new members.
Nadine Loyd led the Devotion/Prayer.
Theresa Elliot made a motion to approve the April 2023 Secretaries Report; Deborah Cain seconded the motion. A vote was taken, and the motion was unanimously approved.
Dell Dunman made a motion to approve both the April and May 2023 Treasurers Report; Gail Bowen seconded the motion. A vote was taken, and the motion was unanimously approved.
- Correction: President Smith misspoke at the last meeting. Samantha did provide the Treasurers report for April, but President Smith could not print it for the April meeting.
President Smith asked the proposed 2023-2024 Officers (listed below) to come to the stage. Vicki Skahill made a motion to approve all candidates for the officer positions for 2023-2024; Dell Dunman seconded the motion. A vote was taken, and the motion was unanimously approved.

- Communications: Kim Williams
President Smith wished the following members a Happy Birthday for the month of May: Glenda Stonecipher (5th), Sandy Arcari (7th), Joanne Griffis (8th), and Linda Jones (13th)
President Smith reminded the members that finished pillowcases needed to be turned in for Ryans Case for Smiles.
President Smith indicated that the Opportunity Quilt Raffle Tickets will be available for sale at the June 2023 meeting.
President Smith indicated that the next meeting will be a June 2023 Potluck dinner. Please contact Sue Deyo to sign up to bring a dish.
Door Prizes were managed by Bonnie Cressey.
Marina Thomason conducted Part 4 of Marina’s Guide to Coloring and Painting on Quilts and Shoes with Lumiere Paints
Members brought items for Show and Tell and presented them on stage to the group.
President Smith adjourned the meeting at 8:08 p.m.
