2025 March Meeting Minutes
Country Star Quilt Guild Meeting Minutes
March 10, 2025
Call to Order at 6:45. Everyone was asked to silence all cell phones. Brought the meeting to order.
Welcome Lori Frederick, President; welcomed any first-time guests. She thanked everyone for the texts, phone calls and cards for the passing of her brother-in-law.
Devotion/Prayer – Charlotte Taylor led the group with our devotion and prayer.
Announcements – The next Sit n Sews will be Friday, March 14th and 28th, at the Callahan Masonic Lodge starting at 9 a.m. and ending around 3 p.m.
The next monthly meeting will be on Monday, April 14th.
Block of the Whatever – Instructions were given to continue blocks and to begin your chosen layout. The BOW will conclude at the June 2025 monthly meeting. Ensure that if you are participating you have all your tickets for all your completed blocks. At the June 2025 monthly meeting prize drawings will be held.
Pillowcases – Lori has more pillowcase kits to cut. She will bring it to the March 14, 2025 SNS if anyone wants to help. As a reminder, the fabric purchased in 2024 will be the last fabric provided by the Guild. Moving forward members will need to provide their own supplies.
Retreat-Lori apologized for not being able to attend. Feedback she’s received has all been positive.

Show and Tell – Please make sure you have completed your green sheet for your project.
Door Prizes!!!!!!!!
Programs – Our program for the meeting was given by Lisa Maechtlen. She presented multiple quilts that she’s made either as a sew along, free pattern or block of the month. She gave a list of the resources for all the quilts shown. She also gave a list of websites referenced.
