COUNTRY STAR QUILT GUILD

MEETING MINUTES

January 9, 2023

 

President Smith started the meeting at 6:57 p.m.

The Prayer was led by Gail Bowen.

Secretaries Report – Lynette Talak December 2022 – Holly Yurchison made a motion to approve the Meeting Minutes as stated; Karen Anderson seconded the motion; the minutes were approved unanimously.

Treasurers Report – Samantha Howell December 2022 – Marquaree Healey made a motion to approve the Treasurers Report; Ellie Boette seconded the motion; the Treasures Report was unanimously approved.

Birthdays for the Month of January- Anne Hines, Sharon Propper, Carol Ring, Lynette Talak, Marina Thomason, Lisa West.

Events/Calendar Update

• Retreat 2023 – Holly Yurchison gave an update on the retreat indicating that the theme was going to be 60s/70s retro. She asked participants to bring 2 washed plain white fat quarters and 3 batik fat quarters.

Door Prizes- Were handled by Bonnie Cressey.

Program- Lori Frederick had the group paint and decorate wooden hearts from the Dollar Tree for sweetheart’s day in February.  She indicated the process could be used for St. Patrick’s Day and other holidays.
